“The Council has now decided to move out of the darkness into the light,” announced its leader, Countess Cambrion Winterfall. “We encourage all citizens of Bereny to familiarize themselves with our sincere wish to be accepted as citizens of Bereny.”
The 13 vampires who make up the Council also pledged that they would not drink the blood of any of the citizens of Bereny, unless by what they termed ‘mutual agreement’. They also acknowledged the crown of Bereny, and said that they consider themselves its subjects, and declared themselves to be loyal servants of the gods of light.

However some commentators have noted a rumour that the Council hopes that one day one of its members will aspire to become a ‘Vampire King’. While this may be no more that a figure of speech, some wonder if Bereny has room for both a Vampire King and its true King.
Countess Winterfall ended her statement by calling on any vampire in Bereny who had not already done so to join them.
