NEW MISSION TO FIND THE TOWER IN THE MISTS
Dateline: 23-
A mission is in the process of departing Crownheart to find the fabled Tower in the Mists, which according to legend lies in central Moonward, in the forests between the Dungeon of Drax and the Moonwalk Road. And rumour has it that the mission has the support of no less a personage than the King himself.
The mission is being organised by Baron Gorgios Varga Toth and the enchanters Baron Allanon and Tali Copperflame. Baron Allanon famously lead the attack on the Cathedral of Holy Light that destroyed the demon Jenneta, and Gorgios Varga Toth is Baron of the estate of Bastya Szabadka, which lies just to the south of Crownheart, and is also a senior member of the White Tower, being Knight Commander of its White Codex.
However it is rumoured in Crownheart that their mission is being personally sponsored by no less a person than the King and that, now that the immediate threat to Crownheart appears to be at an end, His Majesty may even accompany the mission.
The Tower in the Mists is said to appear only in certain conditions, particularly at times when fog and mist have been prevalent. In local folklore the Tower is linked to the legend of the Black Carriage, a spectral apparition whose appearance on the roads of Moonward is said to herald impending doom.
However the Bereny Bugle understands that the White Tower have had scouts searching for it for a while, and have now not only verified that it really exists but have pinned down its exact location. The Dei Vigilare are also rumoured to have taken an interest in the Tower.
“Our mission is to uncover the secrets the Tower in the Mists may hide, which may give the Kingdom aid in the fight against Lexor and his allies and minions,” Baron Varga Toth announced, in an appeal for other adventurers in the vicinity of Crownheart to join them. “It will be dangerous, so if significant threat is a concern to you, you ought not join. However, should you be courageous beyond measure and desire to do service to the Kingdom, come join us.”
