‘PIT OF SLIME’ APPEARS IN MIRRORMANE

Reports from the dungeon of Mirrormane suggest that a section of the dungeon floor has collapsed, creating a yawning chasm into what some observers have described as a 'Pit of Slime'.
The area of the collapse is close to but not in the Courtyard. However a number of courtyard traders and denizens were caught in the collapse and plunged into the depths below, and have not subsequently been seen or heard from, although distant screaming was heard from below for a short while.
Veteran adventurer enchanter Lord Traquen descended into the hole to investigate along with a less experienced colleague, Jerry Argon. When they reached the bottom they were attacked by what Jerry described as a ‘giant slime worm’, which devoured Lord Tarquen whole. Jerry only escaped by using a magic token to teleport himself to Icehaunt. “There were dozens of the creatures there,” he told our reporter, “and the one that ate Tarquen wasn’t even the largest. Some were truly gargantuan.”
"We are aware that a hole has appeared in the floor close to the courtyard," a Mirrormane Courtyard Guard spokesman told the Bugle. “Since it isn’t actually in the courtyard this hole isn’t technically our responsibility, but we are looking into it."
