TRAVELLERS APPEAL TO RAVEN OVER MONSTER MAYHEM

Travellers between Bereny and Kyr have appealed to Duke Raven of Poldoon to act against a large and powerful group of monsters which are active in the Poldoon Pass area.

The monstrous band are attacking travellers through the Pass and making the already dangerous journey even more hazardous.

Their activities have been reported to the Raven and the commander of his Poldoon Border Scouts, the centaur General Eurytion, by another centaur, Jutta Swiftwind, who has been travelling westwards from Kyr towards Bereny with a Kyrian companion. “We appeal to Duke Raven to order a detachment of his PBS to eradicate this source of danger to innocent travellers,” Jutta Swiftwind concluded her plea to the Duke of Poldoon.

Although Poldoon Pass lies outside Bereny’s borders, it was specifically to deal with this sort of menace that the Raven claimed to have created the Poldoon Border Scouts. However the PBS seems to be fully engaged in trying to capture the old Kyrian fortress of Fort Saluwedin at the Berenian end of the Pass. According to the Bugle’s sources, the PBS has found the fort occupied by orcs and has encountered unexpectedly fierce opposition in its attempts.

The monstrous force in the Pass on the other hand is reported to consist of undead, some mounted on skeletal steeds, and may possibly be connected to the undead forces currently threatening Bereny’s northern border. It is believed that their base may be a monster-occupied dungeon known to lie to the south of Fort Saluwedin.
