MISSION GETS ITS FIRST SIGHT OF LEGENDARY TOWER

The Centaur Council has announced that the first scouts of its mission to Kreskin-Lal’s Tower have reached the site of this notorious and fabled structure, and have confirmed that it is indeed there.

The first member of the expedition to reach the Tower was not however a centaur, but Micah Thanatos, a necromancer from the Black Tower. According to a report released by the Centaur Council in its publication ‘Hoof Prints’, the Tower remains, as has previously been reported, permanently shrouded in mist, but there are signs that it has been altered slightly since the last expedition tried to gain entry some years ago. This raises the possibility that the Tower is not just an inert ruin guarded by mist wraiths, but that there is some intelligence at work within it.

The Tower is associated in legend with the infamous Sorceror-warlord Kreskin’Lal, responsible for unleashing the Elven Curse, and in one version of the legend he vanished into it and threatened to return and destroy the races of Elves, Men and Dwarves at a time when we were in battle with a ‘force of evil’.

“This marks a historic achievement on what has probably been the longest journey and preparations for a multi-guild mission in many years,” said Centaur Council Guild Leader Chaldan Ironhoof. “On the days to come it is expected that many more adventurers will arrive. The Centaur Council wishes them the blessings of the Six in their initial exploration of Kreskin'Lal's Tower, and I look forward to seeing all Centaurs and Unicorns on the mission arrive safely at the Tower.”

The Centaur Council and the Black Tower are two of the three official Guilds on the Kreskin'Lal's Tower mission, the third being the enchanter’s Guild the Assembly. It is rumoured that nature guild the Terin’sha have also been involved, particularly with advice and support to enable the mission’s members to reach such a remote part of Bereny.

According to the Centaur Council, Micah Thanatos has, after a brief exploratory venture into the Tower’s entrance, retreated beyond the reach of the mist wraiths and is awaiting the arrival of the expected re-inforcements.
