FIEREIN ESTATE TURNED OVER TO FOREST AS
ENGAGEMENT GIFT
Dateline: 9-
It has been disclosed to the Bereny Bugle that a massive forestation programme is underway to turn nearly half of the Fierien Estate near Poldoon into woodland.
The move has been made by Baroness Siriah Fierein, who runs Fierein Manor and the surrounding lands in the GlazeCo heartland south of Poldoon, as possibly the most extravagant engagement gift in Bereny’s history.
Baroness Siriah, sister of famous Adventurer Baroness Glaze Aiven, has become engaged to a local Elven Druid, who has taken the Fierein name already. To make her future husband feel more at home, the Baroness has recruited a groundskeeper to expand the woodlands on the estate.
"I have constructed this forest along the eastern border of the Fierein Manor, taking in nearly half of the estate’s area” the Baroness told the Bugle. “I hope that, like our love, this endeavour will grow and blossom into another great forest that grows outwith the boundaries of the estate. Much of the land surrounding the estate is a barren flatland on which trees would be a perfect addition".
Local people appeared unconcerned by the changes. “At least we won’t be going cold next winter,” one told our reporter. “We’ll have plenty of firewood.”
