The Dark Elf Shadowbringer Mistress Xenia has been forced to flee from Icehaunt Courtyard

Over 100 adventurers and soldiers converged on the monster’s location in the courtyard, among them ten members of the Crusading orders and a large contingent of dwarven infantry. However although the two vampires which appear to have been serving the shadowbringer were destroyed, Mistress Xenia escaped.
Only one further casualty was reported; alchemist Isaac Newton was left lying dead on the frozen courtyard floor.
There are rumours however that the monster has now been seen in the courtyard of
the Caverns of Hasjan, on the opposite side of the Kingdom. If true it is unclear
how she managed to travel between the two although as she was last seen heading towards
the IGW Guildhouse in Icehaunt there are fears that she may have somehow subverted

Rival enchanter’s guild the Assembly has also come in for criticism after reports that Xenia was assisted by a summoned monster of a type known only to this guild. However a spokeswoman for the Assembly told the Bugle “Reports from Icehaunt were confused and the report you refer to has never been authenticated. We have accounted for all Summoned Stone Animates that were present in Icehaunt Courtyard at the time of the attack and are satisfied that none were under the control of Mistress Xenia at any time.”
The Crown’s forces are now believed to be deciding how best to respond to this new threat. Following a petition from Baron and Baroness Solas, the King has ordered that Royal Army units be allowed to deploy in dungeon courtyards to help protect them. It is rumoured that this move, which the King has described as “a preventative measure against future such incursions”, has not been popular with the Crown bureaucracy because of the extra strain that the potential presence of hundreds of soldiers may place on dungeon courtyard facilities, as well as the additional expense (although the Solas’ petition makes it clear that they expect local Barons to pick up most of the bill).
