WHITE TOWER CONFRONTS DARK GOD

An unconfirmed report from the White Tower suggests that its knights may have come face-to-face with one of the Dark Gods incarnate.

Although the leadership of the White Tower has made no official statement, an authoritative source within the organisation have told the Bereny Bugle that its knights exploring the mountain fortress known as the Aerie of Raazen Kolou have encountered the Dark God Raazen Kolou himself.

The Aerie lies on the south-western edge of the Kyrian Mountains, and thus quite close to the White Tower’s ‘White Citadel’, and the WT have been attempting to destroy the evil cult based here for the past year and a half. Now it would seem that the dark rites practised in the Aerie have succeeded in calling Raazen Kolou into the world.

“A creature which may be the god Raazen Kolou itself was spotted within the heart of the Aerie by a knight of the Red Codex”, our source told the Bugle. “A White Tower Advisor of the seer path scryed it, and it seems to not be fully active, although it is surrounded by harpies and other similar avian monsters which are defending it aggressively. All White Tower knights within the Aerie are now re-deploying to muster near its location.”

Raazen Kolou, also known as the god of Birds Of Prey, may not as profoundly evil as some of the better-known Dark Gods, but is nether-the-less famed for his savagery and cruelty. However he is one of the few Dark Gods who seems able to regularly take physical form and walk the world. According to ancient manuscript however, every time Raazen Kolou has manifested himself and tried to create a worldly empire, he has been defeated by a league of warriors serving the forces of light. This society has, over the centuries, been different on different occasions, but according to an ancient prophesy associated with Raazen Kolou, every time the god seeks to walk the world, the league will rise again to oppose him. Obviously the White Tower think that they are the latest inheritors of this tradition.
